Published on 22/06/2017
You are Turkish, and you’re in the food business. Say you want to get the inside scoop on Turkey’s latest food and drink trends, discover new products, or meet fresh business partners. Where can you do all this, in one place, under one roof? WorldFood Istanbul.
The exhibition takes place at the TUYAP Fair and Exhibition Centre between 7-10 September 2017 – and there are lots of great reasons as to why you need to be there.
WorldFood Istanbul is Turkey’s leading food and drink exhibition
2017 is a special year for WorldFood Istanbul. This year, the show celebrates its 25th anniversary. Over two and half decades, the event has grown to become the must-attend event for Turkey’s food and drink sector.
For visitors, the show offers a wining mixture of:
• Exposure to new innovations and products hitting the market
• Access to international and domestic companies
• Opportunities to forge relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
Istanbul, since time immemorial, has bridge the gap between Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. WorldFood Istanbul has been doing the same for the food community for 25 years now.
At 2016’s show, 98 companies from 20 countries exhibited their wares – alongside eight national pavilions from Saudi Arabia, Korea, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Peru, and the Czech Republic.
Always a big favourite with foreign food and drink producers, WorldFood Istanbul will be opening its doors to international businesses once more in 2017. So far, the show has confirmed participation from companies from around the globe – ready to take part in the WorldFood brand’s unique VIP buyers program and Retail Centre.
WorldFood Istanbul 2017 has more to offer than just exhibition stands
Any trade show worth its salt offers more than just a packed exhibition hall to its visitors. It should also present all the tools attendees need to grow their industry knowledge and get face-to-face contact with businesses large and small.
At WorldFood Istanbul, you will find a comprehensive business programme, stuffed with events, talks, seminars, and meetings.
Returning for 2017 is the Retail Centre – a place for companies to secure direct, one-to-one talks with international retail chains.
Eight brands from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan, the Gulf States, and Uzbekistan are confirmed so far, and many more are expected to book their places before September.
Then there is the VIP buyers program. This incredibly useful networking tool has brought together hundreds of international businesses with Turkish importers and retailers and is coming back this year for more of the same.
Over 50 international firms from outside Turkey have said they are taking part in the VIP buyers program this year – and the numbers are sure to swell before the show’s September launch date.
Companies from as far afield as Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Palestine, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Iran, and Kosovo are coming to WorldFood Istanbul – specifically to take part in the VIP buyers program.
There is also the event’s usual program of guest speakers, conferences and round-tables. The speaker list has yet to be set in stone, but you can bet it will offer an informative blend of market knowledge, business-crucial information, and matchmaking.
