WorldFood Istanbul 2017: 3 food ingredients exhibitors to check out

The Turkish food processing industry is massive. Turkey alone is the Middle East’s largest food producer, and the seventh biggest worldwide. From canned goods, frozen foods, drinks and everything in between, Turkish producers make them all.

Thing is, even the most determined food producer is nothing without the proper ingredients and ingredient suppliers. That’s where WorldFood Istanbul comes into its own.

The event, Turkey’s largest food and drink exhibition, puts world class domestic and international ingredients producers in touch with buyers, retail representatives, and food manufacturer procurement specialists.

With the show just two days away, we’re gearing up for another great year. To get you in the mood, here are three ingredients manufacturers worth visiting at WorldFood Istanbul 2017.

3 of WorldFood Istanbul 2017’s top ingredients exhibitors

Meysut Gida – Hall 3 – Stand C352

Over the past twelve years, Meysut Gida has become one of Turkey’s chief stabilisers, thickeners, and gelling agents manufacturers. Using careful research and development procedures, the brand produces a range of ready-to-use stabiliser blends for ice creams, yoghurts, dessert jellies, and meat products.

In particular, Meysut’s product portfolio is spearheaded by ice cream stabilisers. It offers four separate mixes, under its Meymix range, designed to delay melting and provide creamier tastes.

But outside of more sweet, dessert-focussed products, the company also manufacturers stabilisers for meat. According to Meysut’s website, its meat agents help to improve the sliceability of meat, prevents weight loss and eases packaging processes.

You can find Meysut Gid in Hall 3 at WorldFood Istanbul this year, over at stand C352.

LactoMason – Hall 2 – Stand B212

South Korea stands at the forefront of global technological progress, from TVs to cars and smartphones, so why shouldn’t its food producers?

LactoMason is a group of “probiotics artisans”, using the latest manufacturing technologies to design healthy food and drink additives.

What are probiotics? Simply put, they are live bacteria and yeasts promoted as having health benefits. Often, they are added to yoghurts and other dairy products, or taken as food supplements. Probiotics are considered “good bacteria” and can be helpful for processes like digestion and for general health.

Health foods, especially foodstuffs with added-extras, are big in Turkey right now. Probiotics manufacturers, like LactoMason, are more than likely to see a greater need for their products and services going forward.

Turkish and international visiting producers looking to inject some added benefits into their offerings would do well to visit LactoMason at Stand B212, Hall 2, at WorldFood Istanbul.

Paradise Ingredients – Hall 5 – Stand C520

From their base in Costa Rica, Paradise Ingredients does one thing, and one thing well: banana puree.
The company offers a huge variety of different twists on its central product theme. From organic, aseptic  purees, through to essences, frozen puree, and unpasteurized products, the uses Paradise wrings out of a single product is very impressive.

Given Turkey is one of the world’s foremost confectionery producers, sweet, fruit purees such as those created by Paradise are in hot demand. To catch them, head to WorldBuild Istanbul’s Hall 5, stand C520, to check out Paradise Ingredients.
